My Life OST

If you have ever watched JYP Party People, I am sure you know this phrase: My Life OST.

Yeah, right! This article is inspired by JYP’s music show, where Park Jinyoung (JYP) host a music-talk-show. One of the segments of this show is called “My Life OST”. In this segment, JYP and the guests would share their songs whic accompany them in daily life. A song that describe their life, a song that they will never get bored of, a song that at some point could be a soundtrack of their life. Like soundtrack of a movie or drama.

And I think everyone has their own OST for their life, just like the guests of JYP Party People.

So here, I want to share my own “My Life OST”. These songs are songs that I can relate to my life. They have stories that I have been searching for. And I am thankful to the singers who can deliver such beautiful message through these songs.

Try (Park Jimin)

(There are hard times for everyone)

(It’s not easy to talk about, so I just keep it in mind)

(Despite all the frustration and worries)

(I try to pull myself together)

Breath (Park Hyoshin)

(In a different shape of others)

(I sleep alone)

(When morning comes again)

(I open my eyes and smile)

(It’s alright, now count 1 2 3 and forget)

(Erase all sad memory)

(Hold my hands and smile)

(Still, I hope there are more good days)

(If you believe me, 1 2 3)

(If you believe me, 1 2 3)

Awake (Jin of BTS)

Maybe I, I can never fly

(I can’t fly like the flower petals over there)

(Or as though I have wings)

Maybe I, I can’t touch the sky

(Still,I want to stretch my hand out)

(I want to run, just a bit more)

I always can find comfort in those songs. Those songs could be just ordinary songs for others, but they mean a lot for me. They encourage me. They give me strength. They remind me that I have hope, that I do not deserve to give up.
